The Wayward Artist

I'm Ronnie. I'm a vegan, cat-loving, coffee-crawling artist living my dream in Seattle, WA. My favorite mediums are paint (oil, acrylic, watercolor), pen and ink, pencil, collage, and mixed media. My influences include occurrences in my strange life, pretty ladies, psychology, and so much more. My work can be described as emotional, surreal, complex, dark, and intricate. Other than art, I enjoy long distance running, bicycling around the city, the vegan lifestyle, sipping black coffee while reading books, and volunteering for Cat City, where I help find loving homes for kitties.

Here I post my art and inspiration. I also re-blog others' art.

“Free” Photography, 2007

Done for a photography class in college. The sun is behind that feather. The clouds give it that diffused look.

I think I almost blinded myself taking that photo.

“Goodnight, Richmond, VA,” Oil on canvas, 4x4 inches, 2007.
Part of my eight hour painting marathon from sophomore year in college (2007): cranking out eight paintings in eight hours. This is the fourth one. I gave it away to my aunt.

It’s where I keep my small jewelry pieces. It was so fun to make.

“Breathe,” Oil on canvas board, 5x7 inches, 2007.
I painted eight hours straight for a class painting marathon, cranking out one painting per hour. This is the fifth one. I think I left in Virginia, because it’s certainly not here with me.
